WYATT, John "Junie"
B. Jr., 73, of Richmond and Smith Point, Va., went to fish with the Lord
on the Chesapeake Bay on June 5, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Vernelle Wyatt; and
grandson, Tyler Wyatt.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Becky Wyatt; three children, Keith,
Cindy and Kevin; six grandchildren, B.J., Shanna (John), Ben, Daniel,
Sarah and Carrie; three great-grandchildren, Cooper, Landon and Jaxson;
and many other loving family and friends.
Junie was a standout baseball player at John Marshall High School, holding
a city-high batting average of .513 in 1955, he also played for the American
Legion Post 1, and after graduating, he signed with the Washington Senators.
After baseball, he worked for Thalhimers for over 30 years, traveling
the world as their rug buyer.
After his career, he retired to the "rivah."
A celebration of his life will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, at Bliley's -
Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, where family will receive friends one
