Harold L. White, 82, Kansas City, Kan., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 13, 2012, at the Presbyterian Manor.

Celebration of Life Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, at the Wyandotte United Methodist Church, 7901 Oakland, Kansas City, Kan., with a visitation following the services.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Church.

Harold was born May 22, 1929, in Kansas City, Kan., and was a lifetime area resident. He was a 1946 graduate of Wyandotte High School and then played minor league baseball as a 1st baseman in the KOM League.

Harold had worked for the Board of Public Utilities for 29 years, retiring in 1991. He was a former member of Oliver EUB Church and a member of Wyandotte United Methodist Church and the Plaza Singles Square Dance Club.

Harold was preceded in death by a son, David White and a daughter, Delores Penland.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Fay Sturm-White of the home, two daughters, Nancy Hill, Spring Hill, Kan., and Lee Ann (Jay) Martin, Oklahoma City, Okla., two step-sons, Dan (Corey) Sturm, and Ken (Lori) Sturm, eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
