Robert "Coach Bob" Weinheimer, passed away peacefully after a short illness at the age of 90.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann Weinheimer Morris, grandsons, Jimmy, Jared and Wyatt Morris, nephew Tim Sheryl, sister Dorthy Sheryl, family in "love" Sniders, Mettilles, Johns, Cariotos and Frandsens, his large baseball family of coaches and players, especially Joe McDonald and Mike Johnson.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Louise.

Bob was born in Marietta Ohio and then moved to Phoenix where he was a teacher, principal and administrator for 25 years in the Alhambra Elem. School District. Bob was a WWII Air Force veteran, as well as played minor league baseball as a pitcher for the St. Louis Browns.

Bob has been coaching for over 50 years. He started his career in N.Y. and Ohio prior to moving to Phoenix in 1960. His coaching positions include Asst Baseball Coach at Chandler H. S., pitching coach at Maui Jr. College and most recently Asst. Coach at Boulder Creek H. S. where his spirit lives on with all those that he has coached and taught.

Bob's honors include being inducted into the Arizona H. S. Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007 and District 7 Asst. 2006 Coach of the Year. 2011 will be the 4th year that the "Coach Bob" National Invitational Tournament will be played in his honor. His retired #6 will always hang on the outfield fence at BCHS with pride.

Visitation will be at 9:00 AM followed by funeral mass at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 12, 2011 at St. Rose Catholic Church 2825 W. Rose Canyon Circle Anthem, AZ.
