Charles H. "Charlie"
Weber, 82, of Belleville, Ill., born Aug. 6, 1926, in Freeburg, Ill.,
died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Memorial Convalescent Center, Belleville
in Ill.
Charlie was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
He played minor league baseball in the New York Yankees organization and
was an active member in the K.O.M. League reunions. Mr. Weber was a supervisor
for the Dial Corporation for 31 years.
He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Belleville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Sue C., nee Harper,
Weber, whom he married Jan. 30, 1954, and who died April 1, 1994; his
parents, Herman and Meta, nee Rauch, Weber; and five sisters, Evelyn Germaine,
Norma Clark, Mary Schoen, Louise Janssen, and Thelma Laflen.
Surviving are a son, Gregory C. (Kathleen) Weber of Mascoutah, Ill.; a
daughter, Karla J. (Tim) Weible of Millstadt, Ill.; five grandchildren,
Sarah (Matt) Brendel, Jessi (Cody) Whitworth, and Katy Weber, all of Mascoutah,
Ill., Amy (Phil) Young of Nashville, Tenn., and Ryan (Tela) Weible of
Oklahoma City, Okla.; two great-grandsons, Chase and Brody Brendel; two
brothers, Robert (Helen) Weber of Webster Groves, Mo., and Edward (Esther)
Weber of Freeburg, Ill.; a sister, Helen (Jim) Cissell of Tilden, Ill.;
and nieces and nephews.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral: Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at George Renner
& Sons Funeral Home in Belleville, Ill., with the Rev. Dr. Arthur
Tinge officiating. Burial with full military honors will be held at Lake
View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
