William J. Stellar
Sr., 84, of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008. He was a loving
husband to Rose (Ilko) Stellar for 60 years in October.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Martin and Theresa (Desht)
Stellar. William was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic
Church, Allentown. He retired from Plumbers Local Union 690.
William played professional Minor League baseball and basketball. He also
coached many youth athletic organizations. William was an avid golfer.
Survivors: He will be sadly missed by his entire family. Wife, Rose Stellar;
sons, William Jr. and his wife, Gail, of Spartanburg, S.C., Robert and
his wife, Rita, of Allentown, Thomas and his wife, Rebecca, of Cranberry
Twp, Pa.; sister, Theresa McGeady of Whitehall; brother, Martin Stellar
in Florida; grandchildren, Adrienne and her husband, Jason Kimbrell, William
III, Nicholas, Alyssa, Gabriel, Kyle; great- grandchildren, Micah and
Ian Kimbrell.
Services: A viewing will be held 6-8 p.m. on Friday in Kohut Funeral Home
Inc., 950 N. Front St., Allentown, 18102. Mass of Christian Burial will
be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday in St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic
Church, 924 N. Front St., Allentown, 18102. Burial will be private.
