Born in Santa Clara CA., Peter grew up in the orchard farming community
of Mountain View CA. He attended Mountain View High School where he excelled
at baseball, basketball, football and track. He was honored a football
scholarship and attended St. Mary's College in Moraga, CA. Peter played
2 years in minor league baseball and then enlisted in the Marine Corp
on 12/08/1941. He honorably served with his platoon in WWII and fought
in the battle for Iwo Jima.
After the war he married the love of his life, Ann Kriste. Peter worked
for Pacific Telephone Company for over 34 years before retiring in 1981.
He moved to North San Diego County and resided in Encinitas and the last
8 years in San Marcos, CA.
Peter leaves his wife Ann of 64 years, his brother in-law John Kriste,
his son Jim and wife Sarah, grandchildren John, Ellen, a neice and nephew
as well as numerous friends.
Peter was humble, generous, and loving person and he will be greatly missed
