Clifford R. Simpson

Clifford R. Simpson, 85, of Shrewsbury Township, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 10, 2009.

Cliff was born and raised on Sandy Hook (Fort
Hancock). He retired in 1991 after 35 years of service to the Tinton Falls School District.

Mr. Simpson was a three-sport athlete (baseball, basketball and football) at the old Leonardo High School in Middletown.

Upon graduation from high school, Cliff signed a professional baseball contract with the N.Y. Giants and played for three years in the minor
leagues with the Giants and St. Louis Cardinals.

He served his country in the Marine Corps during WWII.

Funeral services were private.

Arrangements were under the direction of Braun Funeral Home, 106 Broad Street, Eatontown.
