Sidney Albert Signaigo

SIDNEY ALBERT SIGNAIGO,
89, died Sunday, June 22, 2008. Mr. Signaigo graduated from Christian
Brothers High School and played minor league professional baseball in
the Boston Red Sox organization.
He bravely served in the 13th Armored Division during World War II eventually
being attached to General George S. Pattons command.
He returned home after the war and began his careers and retired from
the Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division and the Shelby County Penal
Farm.
He was a communicant and active parishioner at St. James Catholic Church.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he was predeceased by his wife,
Patricia Foley Signaigo. He leaves his son, Michael (Alice) and daughter,
Kathleen (Robert) and granddaughter, Suzana. He also leaves his devoted
cousins, John and Charlotte Siegwart and sister-in-law, Mary Margaret
Foley.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, June 24 at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic
Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mr. Signaigos
