We celebrate the life of Dick Schlueter as we mourn his passing. Dick passed on Monday, January 23, 2012. Dick Schlueter was born June 7, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri. He grew up in St. Louis and was a stand-out athlete in high school.

After high school, Dick had options to pursue his love of sports. He chose to play baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals organization. His baseball career was put on hold as he served his country as a member of the 82nd airborne.

After his service, Dick returned to baseball but ended his playing days after injuring his throwing hand. Dick moved forward, courted his future wife Betty, and attended...

Dick moved forward, courted his future wife Betty, and attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated in 1959 with a degree in electrical engineering and perused a successful business career.

Dick and Betty were blessed with 57 years of marriage, 5 children, and 5 grandchildren. Dick and Betty's children are Beth and husband Duncan Webb, DJ and wife Deanna, Steve, Mike, Mark, and dear family friend Nancy. Their grandchildren are Heather, Melissa, John, Kyle and Amanda.

He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by his wife, children and grandchildren.
