WWII, US Army, beloved husband of the late Georgia, nee Manglaras; loving
father of Peter (Karen), Connie (Dennis) Markoutsas, Bill (Jackie) and
James (Sarah) Sakas; devoted son of the late Peter and Stella Sakas; proud
grandfather of Billy, Steven (Sabrina), George (Ava) Markoutsas, Kristina,
Courtney, Robbie, Christopher, Steven S. and the late Alec Sakas; cherished
great-grandfather of Niko, Chloe, Costas, and Mathew; dear brother of
Elsie (the late James) Sigalos and the late Basil (Georgia) Sakas; son-in-law
of the late Gus and Marie Manglaras; brother-in-law of Thomas (Janet)
Manglaras; fond uncle of many.
Former owner of Steve's Lounge in Des Plaines.
Steve was a former professional baseball player, scout and pitching coach.
Visitation Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 1104
Waukegan Rd., Glenview.
Family and friends will meet Saturday morning at the Ascension of our
Lord Greek Orthodox Church, 1207 N. Riverwoods, Lincolnshire, IL for funeral
service at 10 a.m.
Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
