Guy G. Reiff

Reiff, Guy G. Age 84, died Friday, July 16th, in Wilder, Vermont. He served in the Navy and went ashore with the Marines at Tarawa, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa.

He graduated from USC in 1952.

He played professional baseball.

His Ph.D from University of Michigan in 1964 and was a Professor of Physical Education. He was a member of the President's Council of Physical Fitness. He retired after 35 years at UofM.

He married Geraldine Bruce in 1955 and had three children, Sheri Dufek (Bill), Teri Walsh (Dan) and Craig Reiff (Melissa); four grandchildren, Carley, Mason, Preston and Logan.

Guy's life was characterized by devotion to country, family, and to the health of America's youth. He had a positive attitude and enjoyed life.

A memorial for both Guy and Gerrie will be held August 7, 2010, 2-5pm at Sheri and Bill's home, 1861 Oakleigh Place, Ann Arbor MI
