Alfred "Al"
Francis Rehm, 84, died Friday October 3, 2008.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Anna and Edward Rehm.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Rehm, of Wilson; son, Al Rehm,
Jr., of Wilson;sisters, Mildred Ebbighausen, of Long Island, NY, Joan
Haig, of Port Saint Lucie, FL; brother, Charles Rehm, of Queens, NY.
Al served in the US Army, after which he played professional baseball
with the Dodger farm teams at New Hampshire, Texas, and Florida.
He also played and managed the Wilson Tobs from 1947 for approximately
six years. He retired from the Wilson Police Department in 1973.
Visitation will be Monday October 6, 2008 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Thomas-Yelverton
Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at St.
Therese Catholic Church with the Rev. Gregory Lowchy officiating.
Burial to follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
