Oral H. Ratliff 91, a life resident of Lizton, IN, died on February 25, 2012. He was born on September 8, 1920 to Robert and Bernice (Hall) Ratliff. Oral was the widower of Helen (Rice) Ratliff.

He was a graduate of Lizton High School. Oral was a professional baseball player during the 1940's in Miami, FL, batting left handed and pitching right handed. Oral was a retired machinist working at Naval Avionics.

A member of the Lizton Christian Church, he was also a member of the Pittsboro Masonic Lodge 620 F. & A.M., the Murat Shrine, Indianapolis, Scottish Rite, Indianapolis Valley, a lifetime member of the Gatling Gun Club of Indianapolis, rising to the rank of Major and a member of the Royal Order of Jesters.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28 in Lizton K of P Cemetery, conducted by his Masonic Order.

Survivors include daughter, Polly Walker and great-granddaughter, Lauren Walker of Lizton. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Marla Walker.
