(Buck) Age 83, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Friday,
April 22, 2011.
Othur Pardue had an exceptional life including a successful baseball career
and retirement from Ajax Turner Distributing Company in Nashville TN.
Buck was known as an avid fisherman, gardener, and friend of many, he
never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege
of knowing him.
Preceded in death by his parents, Pap and Haley Pardue, and four siblings.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Betty , and
his three wonderful daughters, Patti, Jill, and Diane; grandchildren,
Jennifer, Brian, Gabriel, Lina, and great- granddaughter, Isabel.
Buck Pardue attended North High School in Nashville TN where he excelled
in baseball and football. He was voted "All-American" in 1944
and went on to play for the Daytona Beach Islanders.
A private family graveside ceremony will be held on Monday.
The family will gather for a life celebration and visitation on Sunday,
April 24, 2011, from 1p.m. -7 p.m. at HIBBETT & HAILEY FUNERAL HOME,
