Otto, Ronald S., 70, of Bridgeport went to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 5, 2012 surrounded by his family.

He was born May 5, 1942 in Bellaire, a son of the late Steve and Helen (Zbrzezny) Otto.

He was a retired employee of Nickles Bakery Martins Ferry, and the former Blaw-Knox Foundry Wheeling, a member of the Lansing Sportsman Club, the PAPC Lodge Wolfhurst, and the Hazelwood Hills Boat Club Piedmont.

Otto was a 1960 Graduate of Bridgeport High School where he excelled in baseball. He went on to play Major league ball for the Milwaukee Braves farm club. Ron loved the outdoors including hunting fishing and gardening. We spent a lot of time at his camp at Piedmont.

In addition to his parents Ron was preceded in death by his son, Steve Bowman in 1992; and a sister, Carol Bowman.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Nancy (Brown) Otto; four sons, Ronald Bowman of Rockmart Ga., Matt (Amanda) Otto of Bridgeport, Mark (Elizabeth) Otto of Centerburg, Ohio, and Craig (Pamela) Bowman of Wolfhurst; a sister, Irene Dyson of Strasburg Ohio; five grandchildren, Alyssa, Lucas, Brooke Otto, Zachary, and Audra Bowman.

Friends are invited to a celebration of Otto's life on Friday March 8, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wolf- hurst with Fr. John Mucha officiating.

Interment in Linwood cemetery Blaine. Wake service will be said on Friday at 2:15 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
