CARVER John J. O'Leary,
of Carver, age 81, died Friday Jan. 2, 2009, in Caritas Good Samaritan
Medical Center, in Brockton. John was born raised and educated in Bridgewater,
graduating from Bridgewater High School.
He was a son of the late Doris C. (Stubbert) and Christopher O'Leary.
He spent the past two years living in Carver, coming from Stillwater,
Pa.
Mr. O'Leary signed a pro-baseball contract with the Boston Braves in 1944
and was also a member of the U.S. Marine Corps. John was a letter carrier
in Bridgewater for 39 years, retiring in 1982.
He was the husband of the late Alice J. (Laird) O'Leary; father of Ann
M. Gerald and her husband Stephen of West Bridgewater, Kathleen Koslowsky
and her husband Edward of Carver and Michael O'Leary and his wife Cheryl
of Bridgewater; grandfather of Brian Borgatti, Julie Koslowsky, Kristin
Bergeron and her husband Mark, Ted Koslowsky of West Roxbury, Stevie Gerald
of West Bridgewater, Christopher O'Leary and Caitlyn O'Leary of Bridgewater;
father of the late Mary Ellen Borgatti and brother of the late Arthur
and Christopher O'Leary.

Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Tuesday, at 8:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian
burial will be celebrated in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Center Street,
Bridgewater, at 9 a.m. Visiting hours Monday, 4-8 p.m.
