Noske, John Edward,
81 of Edmond, passed away January 2, 2010 after a short illness. He was
a resident of Edmond for 15 years and the metro for 41 years.
John Noske was born May 12, 1928 in Washington, D.C. John was in the Armed
Forces and served his country in the Korean War, specifically in the battle
of the Chosin Reservoir. He graduated from the University of Maryland
with a degree in business administration.
After a brief attempt at a professional baseball career, he embarked on
a 37 year career with AT and T. He also worked for American Bell International
overseas for several years in Iran.
He is survived by his wife Joyce of the home, a son Gary of Oklahoma City,
a son Greg of Houston, Texas and a daughter, Janet, and son-in-law Mark
Yowell of Edmond, three grandchildren, Kimberly Waters of Garland, Texas,
Emily and Melissa Yowell of Edmond and a sister, Mildred Lowrey of Calabash,
N. C. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, mother Lonnie and father
Herbert.
John was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be remembered
for his generosity and caring.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 8 at Matthews
Funeral Home at 601 S. Kelly in Edmond. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to the American Heart Association.
