Roy A. North III, 53, of Stewartsville passed away peacefully on Sunday,
October 2, 2011in Kindred Hospital in Wilson Borough, PA.
Born: March 2, 1958 in Bristol, PA he is the son of Shirley R. Klunder
North of Levittown, PA and the late Roy A. North Jr.
Personal: Roy and his wife of 24 years, Vivian Kish North were married
on April 25, 1987. Roy was a CPA and self-employed by North Consulting,
LLC. He was a graduate of Neshaminy High School.
Roy was a 1986 graduate of Rider University where he played baseball and
obtained a BS in Accounting. He was drafted during his college years and
played minor league baseball, working his way up to AAA as a pitcher for
the Atlanta Braves organization. He continued to play baseball in the
Pendel League in Philadelphia and the Blue Mountain League in the Lehigh
Roy was an avid sports fan of all of the Philadelphia teams. Roy spent
many years coaching for the Greenwich Township sports teams: softball,
basketball and soccer. He also was a coach for the Phillipsburg Lady Liners
basketball program. He loved working with the girls that he coached at
all levels and continued to enjoy seeing them play through high school.
Roy was a true people person and enjoyed meeting new people as well as
spending time with old friends. He spent many happy days at the Outerbanks
and traveling with his family and truly loved life.
Memberships: Roy was a brother of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity, a member
of the Greenwich Presbyterian Church and the Greenwich Men s Basketball
Survivors: his beloved wife Vivian, his daughters Brielle and Kara who
were the pride and joy of his life, both at home, mother Shirley, grandmother
Clara Bradshaw, two brothers Jeffrey of Orlando, Florida and Brad and
his wife Malia along with their family of Peoria, Arizona, father-in-law
Daniel Kish, of South River, New Jersey many loving cousins, aunts and
Services: Funeral services will be held Thursday in the Greenwich Presbyterian
Church, 17 Greenwich Church Road, Stewartsville. Visitation will be held
Wednesday from 4 pm to 9 pm in the Doyle-Devlin Funeral Home, Inc., 695
Corliss Avenue, Phillipsburg, NJ. Interment will be in Greenwich Cemetary.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to
an educational fund for Roy s two daughters.
