Michael Mark "Mickey" Noble, age 75 of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 in North Florida Regional Medical Center. He was born January 27, 1937 in Mimeko, Ontario Canada to Cecil Mark and Florence A. Powers Noble. As a child he lived in Akron, Ohio and then Arcadia, California, where he graduated from high school. He attended college in Arizona where he played football and baseball. Mickey moved to Gainesville when he was drafted by the Washington Senators and played in their farm league known as the Gainesville G-Men.

Mickey owned a gas station and worked at National Linen, but for the past 40 years he owned/operated Noble Fence, Moonwalk and Carpet Cleaning. He was known as "The Moonwalk Man".

He is survived by his loving fiancé and soulmate, Carol S. Ropp; children, Pamula M. Fortin (Gary), Susan N. Bissell (Chuck), Jennifer L. Noble, Rich A. Ropp (Michelle) and Sherry R. Skinner (Bob); sisters, Kathleen Rayburn, Janet Noble and Carol Miller and 9 grandchildren that he loved dearly, Justin, Sarah, Charlie, Molly, Henry, Trenton, Tanner, Haley and Shannon.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., in Trinity United Methodist Church, 4000 NW 53rd Avenue, with Dr. Dan Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Central. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 15, 2012, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street.
