Charles Frederick Myatt passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 8, 2011 at the age of 81 following a short illness.

Charles is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary. They had five children, Daryl, Denise, Mike, Steve and Jacque; grandchildren, Bradley, Suzannah, Edward, Christopher, Tia and Torrie; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Skye, Shayna and Kayla. Charles was a Ventura County resident for the past 45 years.

Charles was a minor league baseball player for the Boston Red Sox until a shoulder injury ended that career. Charles was an avid animal lover, especially to his two dogs, Ginger and Lady, and his two cats, Frankie and Cole. Charles was a very strong person who had overcome many medical challenges including a triple bypass and numerous hip replacements. He rarely complained about his ailments. Charles loved the outdoors and mother nature at its finest. He enjoyed gardening and growing his own vegetables. He loved the beach and beautiful sunny days.

A private celebration of his life will be held with family and close friends. Mr. Myatt's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Funeraria del Angel Conrad's & James Reardon, 401 W. Channel Islands Blvd., Oxnard, 487-4911.
