Richard "Dick" S. Moziejko, 70, of Las Cruces, died Saturday, June 21, 2008. He was born March 25, 1938 in Steubenville, Ohio to Alexander and Helen Moziejko.

Dick was proud of the fact that his profession in life was playing shortstop for the Chicago Cubs and bunking during spring training with baseball legend Lou Brock.

He enjoyed all sports and played most of them well, but he excelled at golf and softball. He will be deeply missed by all his family and many friends who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his three sons, Mark Moziejko and wife Niki of Albuquerque, NM, Mike Moziejko and wife Angelica and Matt Moziejko and wife Leslie all of Las Cruces; grandchildren Ashley, Adrianna, Aniston, Shali-Ann and Colt.

Memorial Services to celebrate Dick's life will be at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Getz Funeral Home with Rev. Dexter Hawkins officiating.
