"Listen everyone, I have a little story to tell you..." Sadly, Bill's story telling days are over but his tales will live on through all of those fortunate enough to hear him utter that phrase.

Peacefully and comfortably, Bill recently passed away just shy of his 87th birthday.

Survived by his children, Michael (Caroline), Nancy (Tom), Jamie (Lily), grandchildren Stephanie, David, Michael and Kaila, brothers Don (Merle), Lynn (Merla) and many loving nieces and nephews.

Bill was predeceased by his wife June, brother Bruce and granddaughter Christina.

Bill's remarkable life included playing several seasons with the Boston Red Sox organization in the late 1940s, many years of coaching minor league hockey and baseball, a career in advertising including production of the Eaton's Catalogue and 50 years with the Toronto Santa Claus Parade organization. His love of golf made the Scarboro Golf and Country Club his second home since 1953.

Our thanks to the great warmth and care provided to him by the St. Clair O'Connor Community.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local hospital fund or a charity of your choice.

In his honour, hoist a pint, toast to Bill and be polite and kind to one another.
