James A. McClary, 77,
died May 3, 2009, in Fort Pierce. He was born in Davie, W.Va., and moved
to Fort Pierce in 1954, coming from Oakwood, Va. He was an Army veteran.
He pitched for the Boston Braves farm team during the early 1950s in Harlan,
Ky., Quebec and Wellsville, N.Y. He also was the owner/operator of McClary
Tile.
Survivors include his wife, Charline McClary of Fort Pierce; daughters,
Kathy Bache and Lynn McClary, both of Fort Pierce; sisters, Juanita Nepshinsky
of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Eva M. Flowers of Fort Pierce; four grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201
S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. May 7 at Haisley Funeral
Home in Fort Pierce.
A service will be at 2 p.m. May 8 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will
follow in White City Cemetery.
