MAYER, James C. On November 15, 2009, Age 82, of Pennsauken, NJ, formerly of Ocean City, NJ. Beloved husband of Kathryn Mayer (nee Wise). Loving father of Ellen Mayer (Eugene McGrath) of Pennsauken, NJ and Barbara Mayer of Ocean City, NJ. Dear brother of Corinne Renninger (Harris) of McLean, VA. Also survived by many cousins.

Jim was a 1945 graduate of Lansdowne High school where he was a record setter in multiple sports. He served in the US Army during WWII. He then graduated from Penn State in 1952 and played minor league baseball with the Chicago White Sox during his years there.

He was a Physical Education teacher from 1963 to 1972 at Msgr. Bonner High School in Drexel Hill, PA, and also taught and coached JV Basketball at Wildwood High School until his retirement in 1974.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Saturday from 10-11 AM at MARY, QUEEN OF ALL SAINTS PARISH, (formerly St. Cecilia's), 4810 Camden Ave., Pennsauken, NJ, 08110. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
