Beloved husband of Marilyn Maurer (nee Meister) and the late Norma L. Maurer (nee Schaerer); dear father of Cynthia Will and Susan (Kenneth) Zellers; dear step-father of Lynn (Dave) Pavel and Dennis (Donna) Schildroth; dear grandfather of Katie and Emily Will, Zachary and Lauren Zellers; Sarah (Patrick) Rutledge, David and Kathryn Schildroth; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle and friend of many.

Ray attended Roosevelt High School where he was an All American Athlete and a lifetime member of the Letterman's Club. Ray served in the Army during the Korean War.

He played professional baseball with the New York Giants organization.

He was a longtime member and past president of Allied Food Club.

Services: A private burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the de Greeff Hospice House appreciated. KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY SERVICE.
