MASON, Ralph S., 79, of Proctor, W.Va., died Tuesday, February 08, 2011, at New Martinsville Care and Rehabilitation Center in New Martinsville, W.Va.

Ralph was born December 10, 1931, in Glen Easton, W.Va., son of the late Clarence E. and Millie Marie Blake Mason.

He was with the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 83 out of Wheeling for 45 years, a 1950 graduate of Cameron High School, a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean Conflict, played baseball with the Cincinnati Reds, USAF and Cave Club of Wheeling, member of American Legion Post No. 28, New Martinsville Moose Lodge No. 931 and a Methodist by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kermit W. and Robert E. Mason.

Surviving are three sisters, Ruth Durig, Eleanor (Robert E.) Smith and Lorna (Phillip) Clegg all of New Martinsville, W.Va.; daughter, Cathy (Tony) Boyle of Doylestown, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends received 5-8 p.m., Friday, February 11, 2011 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, W.Va., where funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2011 with Pastor Melissa Shortridge officiating.

Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens in New Martinsville, W.Va.
