Gordon A. Lyon

Gordon A. Lyon, 83, formerly of Stroudsburg, PA, died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Slate Belt Nursing and Rehab. Center, in Washington Twp., PA.

Born on March 14, 1926 in the Bronx, NY, the son of the late Joseph and Amanda (Blicker) Lyon.

He was a graduate of New York University, and was employed as a salesman for US Steel in Camden, NJ.

Gordon also played minor league baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago White Sox. He served in the U.S. Army during the WWII.

Burial will be in Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge, NJ.
