Robert W. Litchfield, 71, of Log Cabin Drive, Hammondsport, died at home
Friday, August 5th with his family at his side.
Calling hours for Bob will be held Tuesday, August 9th from 4-6 p.m. at
Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main St., Penn Yan, NY 14527.
A prayer service will commence at 6 p.m. with a reception to follow at
Lakeside Country Club.
Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Jennifer Linscott
Tietgen Foundation, 4747 West Lake Road, Canandaigua, NY 14424, SPCA of
one's choice, or Southern Tier Hospice.
Bob was born in Baltimore on April 15, 1940, the son of Burnice and Dorothy
Frock Litchfield. He played semi-pro baseball for the Baltimore Orioles,
attended University of Baltimore, was an avid golfer with many friends
both in New York and Florida, and was a true animal lover.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary; two children, Jay (Stacy)
Litchfield of Lakeville, MA, and Julie (Nathan) Colarusso of Richmond,
VA; two grandchildren, TJ and Emily; a brother, James (Ruby) Litchfield
of Salisbury, MD; three sisters, Mrs. Laura (Ben) Reed of WV, Phillis
Babkoff Hanover and Doreen Matias Simms, both of PA; as well as several
nieces and nephews.
