LAUMANN , Ronald A. Ronald A. "Whitey" Laumann, 76, of New Freedom, PA., passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at York Hospital in York, PA. Born August 3, 1934 in Baltimore to the late Andrew Laumann, Jr., and Olive Mae (Dixon) Laumann.

Ronald is survived by his wife of almost 54 years Judith S. (Moss) Laumann, his son Steven D. Laumann and his wife Kim R. of Stewartstown, PA, and his grandchildren Benjamin A. and Joshua S. Laumann.

Ronald was preceded in death by his daughter Diane L. Laumann.

Ronald retired after 38 years as a manager with Giant Food, Inc., in Maryland. He was a member of the Crescent Yacht Club in Middle River and played minor league baseball from 1954 - 1956.

He also enjoyed playing golf, watching his favorite football team the Baltimore Ravens and attending his grandson's soccer games.

Ronald will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA.

Interment will be in New Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm at the mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ronald's memory may be made to the Stewartstown Presbyterian Church Building Fund, PO Box 277, Stewartstown, PA 17363.
