Kenneth Lambert beloved husband, father, grandfather and
great-grandfather passed away peacefully on March 21, 2013, at the age
Ken was a Marine veteran of World Ware II followed by a short stint as
a professional baseball player. He retired from Coca Cola Bottling Works
in Oct. 1987 after 40 years of service. Ken was a life long member of
Zion Evangelical UCC.
Ken never saw a stranger. He thought of himself as the funniest man on
earth laughing at himself and made those around him laugh. He loved family,
golf and playing cards. He had the gift of talking and an opinion about
everything. If you say nothing else about the man you have to say he liked
to eat. Known for finishing off the last piece of pie or his favorite
strawberry shortcake, he always said he had to "eat sweets to stay
Ken is survived by his treasured wife of 65 years, Jane (Brooks) Lambert;
four children; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 until 6 p.m. at Browning Funeral Home and one
hour before the service at church. Funeral service will be Monday, March
25, 2013, 10 a.m. at Zion UCC, 415 NW 5th St, Evansville, IN.
