LANFAIR, David James
David passed away suddenly in the early morning of January 25, 2011 at the age of 60.

Born October 2, 1950 in Sacramento, California.

He is survived by his soul mate Debbie of 20 years, and children Brian (Janelle), Darin, Brandon & Breann, his mother Ann, sisters Holly and Jill, grandchildren Madison and Jeryn who were the light in his life, lifetime friends Wade Demes and Gary Jenkins, former wife Sue and many close family and friends.

He was preceded by his father James in 1990.

David graduated from Burbank H.S. in 1969 and attended Sac City College, playing baseball at both, and was part of two championship teams until he was drafted by the Dodgers organization as a pitcher, where he played from '71-'75.

He managed at Oshmann's Sporting Goods and then worked for Southern Wine & Spirits for 26 years where he created many long-lasting friendships.

David always had a smile and a generous heart for his family and friends. He loved nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren, being involved in their sports. Dave found laughter and love in every part of his life and brought that to others.

Friends and family are welcome for a visitation on Wed., Feb 2nd from 4-8 p.m. and a funeral service on Thurs., Feb. 3rd at 10:00 a.m., all at the East Lawn Mortuary, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove followed by gathering at Vince's Italian Restaurant.
