The principal celebrant was the Rev. James Zuccaro, parochial vicar of the church. Father Leo Bilodeau, pastor of the church, was the concelebrant. Richard Brien was crucifer. Organist Angeline Ennis accompanied singers Mary Whyte and Romeo Bilodeau in the hymns "Amazing Grace," "The Lord is My Shepherd," "Be Not Afraid" and "O God, Our Help in Ages Past." The offertory hymn, "On Eagles Wings," was sung by his granddaughters, Megan and Julie Kvedar.
Words of remembrance were offered by his son, Dr. Joseph Kvedar. Granddaughter Martha Demers gave the Old Testament reading and granddaughter Patricia Francis read from the New Testament.
Granddaughter Elizabeth Kvedar led the Prayer of the Faithful. The gifts were brought to the altar by great-grandchildren Christopher Kvedar and Matthew and Emily Francis.
The honorary bearers were all members of the Mutuo Inc.: James Broggini, Arthur Perreault, Robert Rivard, Robert Brault and Robert Barberi. The active bearers were grandsons Derek Kvedar, Joshua Francis and Isaac Demers; nephew Robert Walden; and family friends Brad Herring and Michael Buzzi.
Fellowship and luncheon followed at the Hilltop Restaurant.
Father. Zuccaro led the prayer vigil service Tuesday evening at the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre.
The graveside service was held Thursday, March 20, 2008, at noon at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Athol, Mass. The Rev. Adam Reid, pastor of Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Church, offered the committal prayers.
The flag was presented to his sons Anthony J. Kvedar Jr. and Dr. Joseph Kvedar by Bruce W. Judd of Barre American Legion Post #10.
