Larry A. Kurtz,
63, of Bethlehem died on August 28, 2009 in Hershey Medical Center.
Born: In Fountain Hill, he was a son of Betty Lousie Miller Kurtz and
the late Arthur A. Kurtz.
Personal: He worked in the accounting department at Home Star Medical
in Bethlehem and earlier was an account's receivable supervisor at Young's
Medical Equipment in Easton. After graduating from Liberty High School
Larry was a minor league umpire in the Midwest for several years. He played
darts for Fritz Memorial Church for the City League and for Salem Lutheran
Church for the Suburban Interchurch Dart League.
Memberships: Larry was a member of West Side Moravian Church in Bethlehem.
Survivors: mother, Betty L. Kurtz with whom he resided; sister, Patricia
Hoffert and her husband Walter of Bethlehem Twp; niece, Stacey Frankenfield;
nephews, Scott and Steven Hoffert; great-nephews, Jacob, Austin, Tyler
and Nate; great-niece Breanna.
Services: Memorial Service on Thursday September 3, 2009 at 11 a.m. in
West Side Moravian Church 3rd and Prospect Avenue in Bethlehem. Call 10
to 11 a.m. in the Church. Funeral arrangements are by the John F. Herron
Funeral Home, 458 Center at Market Street, Bethlehem.
