KRUTHOFFER Robert E, Jr, 69, of Lexington, husband of Joan Allen Kruthoffer, died Fri, Jan 16, 2009 at the Hospice Care Center. Born in Ashland, KY, he was the son of the late Robert Emil and Mary Youell Kruthoffer, Sr.

He was the President and CEO of Kruthoffer Planning & Service Company for 45 years, top insurance salesperson and member of the Million Dollar Round Table for many years during his career.

He also played professional baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Braves organizations, was a head baseball coach at Marshall University and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.

Besides his wife, survivors include his children, Mark A. Kruthoffer, John (Jay) Kruthoffer, Robert E. Kruthoffer, III, Kurt Kruthoffer; step children, Robert A. Scott, Susan E. Scott, Debbie S. Kinder, David P. Scott; sister, Mary Lou Hammond; grandchildren, Kristin Ramey, Katherine Scott, Amanda Scott, Doddridge Kinder, Abby Kruthoffer, Kyle Kruthoffer, Sawyer Scott, Larkin Kruthoffer, Kaitlyn Kruthoffer, Luke Scott, Emilie Kruthoffer, Zachary Scott; great grandchild, Elias Ramey.

A celebration of life will be held at the Mt. Eden Christian Church, 8586 Tates Creek Pike, Lexington, KY 40515 at 4pm on Fri, Jan 23, 2009.
