The Obit For Jesse Kreider

KREIDER, JR., J. E. age 89, of McCalla, AL, passed away Friday, September 10, 2010. He was a member of Reno Baptist Church and loved his Christian brothers and sisters there.

J.E. served his country in the Air Force during World War II. He was retired from U.S. Steel with over 40 years of service.

He was an outdoor person and enjoyed bird hunting, gardening, planting flowers and bird watching.

He lettered in football at Jones Valley High School and played semi pro baseball with the Atlanta Braves Farm Team in the 1940's.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Millie Pryor and Jesse Evans Kreider, Sr., his brother, Vernon Eugene "Bud" Kreider and his sister-in-law, Barbara Merritt Kreider.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Verna Kreider, his son, Randy Kreider, his grandchildren, Casey and Christy Kreider, his nephews, Vernon (Pat), Earl (Linda), Paul and Mark (Lisa) Kreider.

Funeral services will be held at Reno Baptist Church Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Reno Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 13, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home.
