KRAUS JAMES W.
Age 80, of Zelienople, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at UPMC Passavant
Hospital. Jim was born in Pittsburgh and graduated from Shaler High School
in 1947. Following graduation he played baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates
farm team in Florida. He was a branch manager with Pittsburgh National
Bank for 28 years at the Fox Chapel, Ambridge & Sewickley offices.
He then ended his professional career in real estate with Maronda Homes
and with Kennedy/ Meeder Insurance Agency. Jim was an avid golfer and
spent his last 28 years with Maria of Hartmann's Deep Valley golf course
family in Harmony. He is survived by 2 son, Tom Kraus (Maureen) of Foxboro,
MA and Jeff Kraus of Millvale; also 2 grandchildren, James & Ellery
Kraus. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated
10:30 AM Friday, March 13th at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 West Beaver
St., Zelienople, PA 16063 with Father Robert M. Miller, officiating. Memorial
donations may be made to St. Gregory Catholic Church. Arrangements entrusted
to the GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SVCS., INC., 219 E. Grandview
