Milton L. "Kody" Koudelka, 84, of Belleville, Ill., born Oct. 3, 1926, in Belleville, Ill., passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Mr. Koudelka retired from the Belleville Police Department after 33 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish. He was a talented baseball player and was fortunate to play baseball all over the world with his best friend, Harlan Haas. He enjoyed playing pool, cards, trap shooting and spending time at his clubhouse. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran. Kody was a great father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Faye, nee Allee, Koudelka, who died on Sept. 11, 1994; and his parents, Jerry and Marie, nee Koubelka, Koudelka.
Surviving are a son, Jerry Lee (Millie) Koudelka; a daughter, Donna Jean Koudelka; three grandchildren, Kelley (Bobby) Phillips, Christopher (Amy) Koudelka, and Kody Koudelka; five great-grandchildren, Nickolas Koudelka, Nathan Phillips, Tyler Koudelka, Kenzy Koudelka, and Cooper Koudelka; a sister, Norma Billhartz; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Lucille Georg.

Visitation: Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: According to Mr. Koudelka's wishes, cremation will follow the visitation.
