Theodore "Ted"
Koltz, much loved husband, father, grandfather and friend died suddenly
May 3, 2008. He was 86 years old.
Before retiring to Sun City West in 1987, Ted had played pro baseball
for the Chicago Cubs, joined the Navy as a pilot in World War II and after
the war graduated from the University of Oklahoma and had a gratifying
career in Commercial Real Estate in Chicago, Illinois.
He loved retirement, playing golf until recently when bridge became his
most favorite social pastime. Ted is survived by his wife Sue, daughter
Kim, son-in-law Joel, grandson Zak Hanneman, brother Robert (Ginny) Zboralski,
brother-in-law John (Joy) Maschoff and family, and many friends. Sue and
Ted lost their son Randy in 1996.
We all loved this gentle man Ted Koltz who was always such a gentleman.
We will miss him forever.
