MARCUS LEROY KOENIG 87, Of Menifee Lakes, California, passed away on October 12, 2008, where he has lived with his wife, Margery, for 17 years.

He was born December 6, 1920 in Marionville, Missouri. Marcus served in the Marine Corp in the South Pacific for three years in WWII and again during the Korean War.

Marcus played and managed professional baseball for several years. He also worked for 38 years in the McDonald Douglas Space program.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margery Rosella Koenig; his 3 sons, Ron, Dennis and Fred Koenig and one daughter, Mary Frances Koenig and all of their families including 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He will always be remembered as a loving Husband, Father and Grandpa Rip. He will truly be missed by all.

A Rosary will be held on Monday, October 20th at 6:00pm at Miller-Jones Mortuary, located in Sun City at 26770 Murrieta Road. Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 21st at 10:00am at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Parish, located in Sun City at 27931 Murrieta Road.

Burial services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery.
