Brandon Miles Kling,
a kind and loving son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend, died Sunday,
Jan. 18, 2009, as the result of a car accident.
His tender heart and warm smile will be missed by all who were blessed
to be a part of his life. He was 28 and a native and resident of Baton
Rouge. He graduated from Sacred Heart School, Catholic High School and
the University of New Orleans.
His passion was baseball and he achieved many awards and accolades because
of his talent. After college, Brandon played professional baseball for
the Pensacola Pelicans, San Angelo Colts and Harlinger Whitewings.
He loved with his whole heart his family and friends and was always there
for anyone who needed him.
He is survived by his devoted parents, Kelly and Mary Beth Kling; loving
sisters, Kecia Campbell, and husband Robb, and Kelly Kling; the love of
his life, Kristin Martin; proud grandmother, Marie Hebert; nieces, Caroline
and Madelyn Campbell; godfather, Russell Hebert; godmother, Wendy Hitchcock;
and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. He was the proud godfather to
Madelyn Campbell and Lily Kling. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents,
Sterling and Mora Kling; and maternal grandfather, Joseph C. Hebert.
Visitation was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on
Tuesday, Jan. 20, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Visitation at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Wednesday from
11:30 a.m. until funeral Mass at 1 p.m.
Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Adam Richardson, Joseph Richardson, Brian Kling, Tyler
Kling, Kevin Gibson, Russell Hebert, Andy Chapman and Ryan Meador.
Honorary pallbearers are Parker Hebert, Burt Rentz and Dustin Singletary.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brandon's name to Sacred
Heart Development Program or Catholic High School.
