He was born November 7, 1929 in Brookport, Illinois. He was a retired insurance agent and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Kerr; two sons, David Kerr and his wife Beth and Kyle Kerr; one brother, Jack Kerr and his wife Faye ; and five grandchildren, Ashley Tedder and Alec, Katherine, Emma and Ethan Kerr.
