James B. Jones

James B. Jones, age 78, of Warren, died peacefully Jan. 26, 2009 at his residence after a 2-year battle with cancer. Mr. Jones was born Aug. 20, 1930 in Highland Park, MI.

Mr. Jones was a US Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.

He retired from the GM Tech Center after 32 years of service in 1986 as a Draftsman.

Mr. Jones was a Baseball coach at Bishop Foley High School from 1979-1984 and Fraser High School from 1997-2001; he was Softball coach at Fraser High School from 2002-2006. He was an avid golfer.

Mr. Jones also played Minor League Baseball for the Washington Senators and Greenville Spinners from 1948-1950.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine of 54 years; children, Michael (Danise), Linda Yucha, Edward (Donna), Margaret (Tim) Price, and Robert (Rebecca); grandchildren, Megan (Peter) Whiting, Kayla, Steven Yucha, Ryan Yucha, Kyle, Lea, Robin Price, Katie Price, Justin, Jordan, Jared, Joshua; and Brother, Richard(Joyce). He was predeceased by his brother, Roy.

Funeral Friday, 12 noon at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13 1/2 mile), Warren.
