Carl W. "Cully"
Johnson of Prospect Heights since 1958 Carl W. "Cully" Johnson, 88,
passed away Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010.
Carl retired from the State of Illinois
as a road examiner in Schaumburg and previously worked for the last remaining
Chicago Brewery, Peter Hand Brewery, as a district manager for many years.
He was fortunate to have played semi-pro baseball in the early 1940's as a pitcher
with the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs, but his professional career ended
shortly thereafter with an injured arm.
He is survived by the love of
his life, Ann, of 61 years; two very caring and loving children, Robert (Maureen)
and Marie (Christian) Hansen, and together they blessed Carl with six super grandchildren,
Molly, Sara, Jacob and Matthew Johnson, and Alyssa and Kody Hansen.
