Carl W. "Cully" Johnson of Prospect Heights since 1958 Carl W. "Cully" Johnson, 88, passed away Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010.

Carl retired from the State of Illinois as a road examiner in Schaumburg and previously worked for the last remaining Chicago Brewery, Peter Hand Brewery, as a district manager for many years.

He was fortunate to have played semi-pro baseball in the early 1940's as a pitcher with the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs, but his professional career ended shortly thereafter with an injured arm.

He is survived by the love of his life, Ann, of 61 years; two very caring and loving children, Robert (Maureen) and Marie (Christian) Hansen, and together they blessed Carl with six super grandchildren, Molly, Sara, Jacob and Matthew Johnson, and Alyssa and Kody Hansen.

Services were private.

Memorials to the "Tree of Life Program", Prospect Heights Park District, 110 Camp McDonald Road, Prospect Heights, IL 60070, would be appreciated.
