FORT WORTH -- Randolph "Randy" Ingle, 84, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010.

A service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Funeral Home.

Randy was born June 1, 1926, in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., to John and Nellie Ingle. At the age of 16, he went to play Minor League AAA baseball for the Giants. He later joined the military, but was discharged after an accident during his service. He started working for Fort Worth I.S.D. as a custodian, and retired as their Director of Transportation.

Randy is preceded in death by his wife, Vada Alice Hammonds Ingle; and one sister, Iona McNeill.

Survivors include son, John R. Ingle of Dublin; daughter, Renee Carrington of Granbury; granddaughter, Stephanie Carrington and boyfriend, Gary Lawrence; brother, Bruce Ingle and wife, Beverly, of Crossville, Tenn.; sister, Teena Lawing of Charlotte, N.C.; and numerous extended family.
