Michael Daniel Hoffar
passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, December 20 at 5:00 a.m.
with his loving family by his side.
Michael was born November 13, 1948 in Chicago, IL to parents, Daniel and
Norma Hoffar. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Hoffar.
Mike attended Hobart High School in Hobart Indiana as well as Ball State
University in Muncie, Indiana where he excelled in the sport of baseball
and as a result was recruited to play for the Kansas City Royals as a
pitcher.
Mike moved his family to Florida in 1984 settling in the city of Casselberry
where he was able to transfer his love of sports and gift of athletic
ability to his sons, Brad and Brian.
Mike spent a large part of his early career in the Finance and Banking
field.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Susan of Casselberry, Florida, son,
Bradley Hoffar of Coconut Creek, Florida, son, Brian Hoffar of Casselberry,
Florida; mother, Norma Hoffar of Hobart, Indiana; brother, Mark Hoffar
of Hobart, Indiana, brother, Tom (Elaine) Hoffar of Clermont, Florida
and brother, Steve Hoffar of Orlando, Florida.
Family will be receiving friends from 2:00-5:00 p.m., Tuesday, December
29, 2009 followed by a service at 5:00 p.m. at the DeGusipe Funeral Home,
9001 Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL 32751. Phone: 407-695-2273.
