ROBERT D. HILL, JR, 86, of Memphis, professional baseball player for the Cincinnati Reds Farm League, Army Air Corps Veteran and retired butcher, died July 18, 2008.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 12 p.m. Saturday, July 19 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery at 3 p.m. Sunday.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah A. Hill and son, Bobby Hill. He leaves two daughters, Debbie Cain and Cindy Webb; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
