AGE: 89 FORMERLY OF SPRING LAKE HEIGHTS
Roy W. "Tim" Henville, 89, of Boca Raton, Fla., passed away
Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Hospice By The Sea, Boca Raton, Fla., he was
89 years old.
He was a graduate of Manasquan High School class of 1939 and started his
professional baseball career later that year with the Union City Greyhounds,
a Saint Louis Cardinal affiliate.
His playing career was interrupted by World War II in which he honorably
served in the U.S. Army in Africa and Italy. Tim was a highly successful
and popular food products salesman for almost 40 years. He was employed
by Frosted Products, June Foods and Marcel Darche and Son.
An avid golfer, he was a regular player through the years at the Homestead,
Spring Meadow and Howell Park courses before retiring to Boca Raton in
1978, where he continued playing the game he loved and respected.
Tim is survived by his brothers, James of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Charles
of Pompano Beach, Fla.
By his request, the funeral arrangements were private. A memorial service
will be held in Spring Lake in the coming months.
