Sycamore, OH, died at 3:55 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2010 at home.

He was born in Sycamore, OH on August 29, 1937 to Hershal H. and Julianna (Ciborowski) Hannam. They are deceased. He married Eva M. (Iden) Hannam on May 26, 1977 at the Sycamore United Church of Christ. She survives.

Surviving are the following children, Cindy (Nick) Riedel of rural Tiffin, OH, Donald R. (Amanda) Hannam Jr. of Sycamore, Julia (Adam) Kendall of Sycamore; stepdaughters, Diana (Rick) Gillen Moore of Austin, TX, Cynthia K. Gillen of Cananadaigua, NY. One daughter, Deb Sagar, deceased.

He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren. Two granddaughters are deceased.

He is also survived by one brother, Hershal C. (Judy) Hannam of Iowa; and one sister Hazel (Jim) Stillberger of Sycamore.

He was the retired owner of Bowlmor Lanes in Sycamore, and was a member of the Sycamore United Church of Christ. He was a 1955 graduate of Sycamore High School. He was a member of the 1954 Sycamore High School State Runner-up baseball team. He was drafted as a pitcher by the Detroit Tigers and played minor league in Palatka, FL and Montgomery, AL. He played fast pitch softball with Payne Realty and Sycamore Merchants in his later years. He scored 1000 points during his high school basketball career and is on the honor board with OSAA in Columbus, OH. He was a member of the Professional Bowlers Senior Tour, United States Bowling Congress, and The American Bowling Congress 300 Club seven times. He bowled in the Community Bowling League, Sportsman's League, and Classis Bowling League in Sycamore.

He was a member of the Sons of the Sycamore American Legion Post #250. He was a member of the Ohio Association of Realtors, and he belonged to the National Hole In One Association. He loved to fish, golf, bowl, travel, play with his grandchildren, and was very fond of his dogs.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Walton-Moore Funeral Home in Sycamore with the Pastors Joe Curatti and Joshua Brady officiating. Burial will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery in Sycamore. Visitation will be Monday, October 18, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at Walton-Moore Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to either Sycamore American Legion Post #250 Youth Summer Ball or Hospice of Wyandot County.
