HALL, JACK RAY, 82, of Greenwood, IN formerly of Louisville died Wednesday, September 1, 2010.

He was born on December 3, 1927 in Thealka, KY, the son of Lonnie and Maggie (Spears) Hall. Mr. Hall graduated from Prestonsberg High School in 1945.

He served our country in the United States Army during World War II.

He lived his dream of playing professional baseball until the age of 27. Mr. Hall was avid fan of University of KY basketball, enjoyed fishing and loved his family. He also belonged to the Fern Creek Masonic Lodge. He never met a stranger and truly had a zest for life.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Delight Wells. He is survived by his daughter, Gina Harting; sister, Lorraine Crowson; and granddaughter, Shelby Harting.

His funeral is 1 p.m. on Saturday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service in Greenwood and after 11 a.m. on Saturday at Fern Creek Funeral Home.
