Former Caps First Baseman AC Grable III Passes Away

Edmonton, AB – The Edmonton Capitals extend sincere condolences to the family and friends of former player AC Grable III, who passed away on Wednesday, April 20 at the age of 27.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pound first baseman played 11 games with the Caps at the start of the 2010 Golden Baseball League season. He went 3-for-10 at the plate with three singles, one RBI and two walks. Grable III also played for the Yuma Scorpions last season in the GBL, with whom he batted .375, in addition to playing in the Arizona Winter League.

The native of Covina, California, is being remembered by his former teammates and coaches as a player with a great deal of warmth and character, who was polite, humble and always had a smile for everyone he met.
